So the hoomans decided to take me on a quick trip to pick up yummy food items at Dampa Sa Libis.
And man, was it a cray-cray place!
Lots of smells and energies and other hoomans!
For those who have yet to try any Dampa iteration, it is essentially a wet-market, slash, "get your food cooked here," slash, "oh, and you can also eat it here too" kind of place.
They sell all kinds of tropical fruits, meats marinating in various sauces, and what they are famous for, seafoods -- shrimps, mussles, crabs, just to name a few.
For the Doggos: Not really a whole lot to offer for us doggos, but their outside eating area is pet-friendly. :)
For The Hoomans: Well, to answer this, maybe I will start with the basic, "How does Dampa work?" question. Here is my hooman 2 to take you through the journey ---
Hello friends of Pup-pup. Here's what you do:
(1) You pick your produce & get it weighed.
Crabs for days!
(2) Follow the wet-market attendant to the "Choose your cooking style" station.
The wet-market attendant will place all your orders in a basket and will proceed to the kiosks where you get to tell 'em how you want your food items cooked, and if you are ordering to go or for here. You can also ask the attendant to get it cooked by your favorite paluto place (place that will cook your meal).
(3) Follow the wet market attendant as she tags your order with a number and moves it to the payment area.
They accept cash and cards.
While waiting
Thanks hooms!
Dampa sa Libis Rates: In the wet area, they typically have a chalk board with the prices there, like so.
Then add the price of cooking the food, which is the price to get it cooked per increments of half a kilo.

Pup-pup Tips:
(1) They now deliver!
For all my lazy AF friends out there
(3) Choose your own adventure! If you are torn between getting say, your shrimp cooked tempura style or steeped in garlic butter, why not choose both and get half a kilo cooked one way, then the other kilo another way?
Random photo of their sweets booth, not connected to the tips. Just sharing.

Pup-pup Rating: 4 paws. The place, while allows for my beautiful presence, and I got to eat some sweet, sweet barbecued pork, was really more of an excuse for me to stretch my legs to deal with cabin fever as I've been cooped up in our flat for the better part of the last 2 weeks.
Also, allowed for some embarrassing cuddles with hooman 1!
